Modelling patterns

The ISO 15926-14 modelling patterns show the use of the PLM RDL reference data (ontologies) to represent different aspects of an asset.

The POSC Caesar PLM RDL does not yet include domain specific ontologies and industry standards represented as ontologies. Modelling patterns do however exemplify patterns to be used at a detailed, domain specific level. Creation of an asset model is done using authoring like 2D and 3D modelling tools and databases. By utilizing a template approach and reference data from the POSC Caesar PLM RDL, the asset model can be given a semantic representation as shown in the modelling patterns.
